Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week kicks into high gear today as a lineup of seventy-seven designers present their Fall 2007 Collections. The runway shows in the iconic Bryant Park Tents will occur over eight days in four venues named The Tent, The Promenade, The Salon and The Showroom.
で、何よりも注目したいのがメンズウェアー。
ジョン・バートレット（John Bartlett）、ペリー・エリス（Perry Ellis）、ラコステ（Lacoste）が↓の映像でフューチャーされている。もちろんモデルの cool guy も、だ。

奇抜なデザイン性よりも、テーラーリング技術へのこだわりが感じられ、好感が持てる。それにしてもラコステのアーティスティック・ディレクター、クリストフ・ルメール（Christophe Lemaire）は若いな──フランス訛りの英語で「セクシー」や「クール」と発話する彼こそチャーミングだ。

On the men’s side, John Bartlett sent out a mature collection that had some of the sweetness of his first shows as a designer, when he could be inspired by Charlie Brown. There were ribbed sweater vests and herringbone trousers, a loden coat with subtle trim at the cuffs and a great-looking suit with a patchwork of shiny and matte black fabric.
